Ok, finals are not fun.

The first one I ended up taking was my Biology final. We had a huge study guide that I didn't finish, BUT I did do most of it. I'm absolutely serious when I say I did seven pages of not-very-interesting work. I ended up getting a 80.9% on the final. I was super happy, because I thought it would raise my C+, however, it did not. How tragic.

The second final I took was my Geometry final. I thought I did normal *cough*C*cough*, but I must have eaten a bowl of stupid (as my geometry teacher puts it) because I got a 65%. Can you say ouch? I admit it was my fault. I did not study, because I was focusing on Spanish. It was a very stupid move, but it happened. This final was 15% of our grade, so my B- became a C+.

The third final I took was Spanish. We had a multiple choice part and a written part. I did very well on the mutiple choice and ... not super well on the written part. But I did end up with a 86.7% which pretty much confirmed my B.

The next final I took was Health. I did my whole study guide, and Health is pretty easy, so I thought, sweet - an easy final. And it did seem easy. Yet I got a 74%, which makes no sense whatsoever. A bad fluke? Possibly. I had a A-, but I wouldn't be suprised if it went down to a B+.

The next final I took was Technology Literacy. It was pretty easy. We had to create a face out of different fruits and veggies in a program named Fireworks. I got 100% and my A became an A+.

English was my next final. It was about 'Mice and Men' and vocabulary. I got a 97.1% and my A is still around.

Drama was my last final. We had a test about Roman and Greek drama. The study guide was not mandatory, but it was fantastic if you did it, because the questions were exactly the same and in the same order. I did do the study guide (at the last minute) but really, even if you didn't do the study guide, it was easy. We went over all the questions in class, for pete's sake. She said it should be very easy and it was. I got a 94% on this part.

The other part of the Drama final was memorizing a monologue. It was just basic memorization. I memorized mine mostly the night before and I got 100% on this part. And yet, in spite of my fantanstic job on my final, I still have a B which pretty much sucks.

I find it sad that two of my grades went down because of finals and only one went up. And even though I did fantastic on my Biology and Drama finals, nothing moved. (!!!) The inhumanity.

Alright, here is a poem I wrote that has nothing to do with finals. (Thank goodness.)

The Miracle of Tea
By Esther

Oh God how my stomach aches
From this awful flu.
It's a disgusting period in life
That everyone goes through.

But in my depression
I have found a gleam of light.
At least this pit of hurt
Didn't come from you.

And that is definitely good.
Because I know of the hours,
Days,
Weeks in despair, my friend.

Oh, forgive my whooping cough, dear.
You know how sickness runs.
You've cried about it many times
And I was the shoulder you wept on.

Do you think it's fun to be used?
It's depressing, darling.
You could never really understand
Despite how intelligent you are.

I can't ever be over you,
My First Heartache.
You're like a scar on the face
That everyone will ask about.

This flu will leave me
Eventually
But you haunt me
Eternally.

My throat is dry.
I really need to make more tea.
Tea fixes everything
Except wounded hearts.
